Job summary

Intermountain Health invites a physician to join the Division of Breast Surgical Oncology. You will work with a dedicated team across Salt Lake City and Murray with protected OR and clinic days, focusing on breast cancer care and patient experience.

Fellowship in Breast Surgical Oncology is required; MD/DO from an accredited school; board eligibility or certification in General Surgery; Utah license or ability to obtain; credentialing will be completed through Intermountain Health.

Job description

About this role:

As a Physician in the Division of Breast Surgical Oncology, you will work with a team of healthcare professionals committed to providing quality care and excellent patient experience. In this role you will join a growing breast surgery division with the opportunity to contribute to the development of a service-oriented breast surgery program across Salt Lake County. The ideal candidate will be passionate about breast surgery, collaborative in nature, and committed to advancing breast cancer care in our community.

  • You’ll have at least two dedicated OR block days and two clinic days per week, and will practice at both LDS Hospital in Salt Lake City and Intermountain Medical Center in Murray, along with hospital privileges at each site.
  • You’ll provide exclusive breast surgery care with no general surgery or ER call expectations
  • You will manage your own patient panel, with shared coverage across the breast surgery team for time off
  • You’ll participate in tumor boards and specialty breast cancer meetings

How we'll support you:

  • You will be paid a guaranteed base annual salary, with additional productivity & quality incentives available.
  • $30,000 sign-on bonus
  • Up to $20,000 in relocation assistance (if eligible)

What you’ll bring:

  • Fellowship-training in Breast Surgical Oncology required
  • MD or DO degree from a fully accredited medical or osteopathic school of medicine
  • Board Eligible or Board Certified in General Surgery
  • Active, unobstructed Utah medical license, or the ability to obtain one
  • Ability to successfully complete Intermountain Health’s credentialing process
