Job summary

Allina Health is seeking a full-time oncologist to join the cancer institute in Coon Rapids, MN. The role includes inpatient and outpatient responsibilities within a mission-driven system dedicated to seamless, patient-centered cancer care.

The department supports a robust, multidisciplinary approach with an in-house genomic lab, AI-assisted documentation, and a growing research program. Epic EMR and affiliate sites enhance coordinated care.

Qualifications

• MD/DO or foreign equivalent required.
• ACGME/AOA Internal Medicine residency completed.
• Hematology/Oncology fellowship training completed.

Responsibilities

• Direct patient care across cancer types including hematology, breast, colon, lung, esophageal cancers, leukemia and lymphoma.
• Review medical history, synthesize data, and form treatment plans.
• Coordinate care with patients and families; discuss options and manage side effects.
• Participate in multidisciplinary tumor boards and care in ambulatory or inpatient settings.
• May participate in on-call rotation.

Education

Doctoral/Ph.D. in Medicine or Osteopathic Medicine (or foreign equivalent)

ACGME or AOA Internal Medicine residency

Hematology/Oncology fellowship training
