Breast Medical Oncologist - Georgetown Lombardi Comprehensive Cancer Institute, Washington DC. The Division of Hematology/Oncology at MedStar Georgetown Lombardi Comprehensive Cancer Center in Washington, D.C., is growing rapidly and seeking a Breast Medical Oncologist to join its expanding faculty at Georgetown University Hospital. This position provides the ability to work with an outstanding group of nationally recognized experts in myeloma, lymphoma, leukemia, and Blood and Marrow Stem Cell Transplantation/Cellular Therapy, in the only NCI designated cancer center in Washington DC. Excellent research and academic opportunities are offered with the ability to collaborate with its NCI consortium partner, Hackensack Meridian Health John Theurer Cancer Center (JTCC). Together with JTCC, the position provides access to a very large patient population and an ideal platform for clinical and translational research in the field.
Oversee the care of patients with breast cancer; foster and direct new clinical trials that bring Lombardi science to clinical applications for breast cancer; mentor junior faculty; educate medical students and house staff in an ACGME-accredited fellowship program with an appointment at the Associate Professor level.
