Job summary

Cedars-Sinai is seeking a Per Diem Mammography Technologist to perform scans and procedures, including stereotactic breast biopsies, in a busy Radiology department in Los Angeles. The role emphasizes patient education and safety in a high-volume setting.

Ideal candidates have an accredited Mammography program, ARRT certification, California Mammography certification, and a BLS credential, with 3 years of Mammography experience preferred. Weekend coverage with some weekday shifts required.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited Mammography program required.
• ARRT(R) certifications required; CA Mammography certification required; BLS from AHA/Red Cross required.
• 3 years of Mammography experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform a broad range of scans/procedures from basic to somewhat complex.
• Assist physicians in procedures; transport medications to imaging area.
• Perform needle and radar localizations, and stereotactic breast biopsies.
• Provide patient education and maintain a safe environment by identifying safety concerns.
