Job summary

Hendricks Regional Health is seeking a Mammography Technologist to perform breast imaging procedures, ensure high-quality mammograms, and assist licensed practitioners. The role includes patient preparation, history corroboration, technique selection, and maintaining safety and sterile technique within the department.

The candidate will participate in quality control and may assist with breast ultrasound exams, while educating patients on procedures and Breast Self-Exam practices.

Qualifications

• Must have high school diploma and be a graduate of an approved School of Radiographic Technology.
• Experience in mammography preferred; 1–2 years preferred.
• Computer experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Performs breast imaging procedures with proper technique and patient positioning.
• Corroborates clinical history and documents information for licensed practitioner use.
• Supports sterilization, aseptic technique, and safety standards in mammography.
• Operates breast imaging equipment and determines exposure factors.
• Maintains quality control and documentation per ACR/FDA standards.
• Assists with breast ultrasound examinations as needed.
• Educates patients on procedures and breast self-exam techniques.
• Monitors equipment and reports malfunctions; ensures area cleanliness and restocking.
