Job summary

Solis Mammography in Lafayette, LA is seeking a full-time Breast Sonographer to independently operate ultrasound equipment, produce high-quality images, and document results for radiologist review. You will communicate with patients to ensure comfort and work closely with the radiology team to support ultrasound exams and biopsies.

The ideal candidate has an accredited diagnostic medical sonography program diploma, active ARDMS or ARRT certification with CME compliance, and proficiency with

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited Diagnostic Medical Sonography Program.
• Active ARDMS certification (SPI only not eligible) or ARRT(S); CME compliance.
• Knowledge of RIS/PACS software.
• Ability to stand for long periods.

Responsibilities

• Operate sonography equipment independently to create images and measurements.
• Maintain a high degree of accuracy in positioning and scanning technique.
• Communicate with the radiologist and document on tracking sheet.
• Explain procedures adequately to patients to maximize comfort and cooperation.
• Assist Radiologists during ultrasound biopsy procedures using sterile technique.
• Maintain the ultrasound equipment for cleanliness and safety.
