Our women's imaging services include screening and diagnostic breast imaging, as well as image-guided breast biopsy and tumor-localization for surgical procedures. Every exam is read/interpreted by a breast radiologist to ensure accuracy with our state-of-the-art equipment in order to minimize radiation exposure while maximizing our doctors' ability to visualize organs, function and disease processes. When an image indicates a need for more care, our breast radiologists collaborate closely with Northwell's breast specialists in surgery, medical oncology, radiation oncology, pathology, genetics and more - a team approach that provides comprehensive care.
