Description:

The Department of Radiology at the Perelman School of Medicine at the University of Pennsylvania seeks candidates for several Assistant Professor positions in the non-tenure clinician educator track. Expertise is required in the specific area of Breast Imaging. Applicants must have an M.D. or M.D./Ph.D. or equivalent degree. Applicants must be American Board of Radiology certified or eligible with sub-specialty training in Breast Imaging.

Teaching responsibilities may include daily clinical supervision of residents and breast imaging fellows and lecturing to medical students, radiology residents, fellows, and trainees from other departments.

Clinical responsibilities may include utilizing the most advanced breast imaging technology available to provide individually tailored, comprehensive evaluations for the early and precise detection and diagnosis of breast diseases. The successful candidate will conduct high-quality interventional breast procedures, including stereotactic, ultrasound-guided, and MRI-guided biopsies.

Research or scholarship responsibilities may include developing a focused body of research in a field within breast imaging. This includes clinical and translational research on applying imaging methods to the detection, diagnosis, and evaluation of breast disease. The successful candidate will have prior research experience and demonstrated evidence of peer-reviewed scholarship. We will provide ample support and mentorship for research.

The clinical mission of the Division of Breast Imaging is to provide individually tailored comprehensive evaluations for the early detection and diagnosis of breast diseases. Our Breast Imaging Division, accredited by the American College of Radiology, provides screening and problem-solving mammography, breast MRI, and multimodality intervention for outpatients at the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania and its satellite locations.
