Job summary

The City of Hope is seeking a Registered Nurse, Breast Health Nurse Navigator to guide patients through the continuum of breast care, from screening to survivorship. You will coordinate diagnostic imaging, biopsies, surgical planning, and treatment with the multidisciplinary team.

Ideal candidates have 2 years in Breast Imaging/Oncology, valid Arizona RN license or Compact State license, and BLS. Certification as Breast Health Navigator is preferred; City of Hope values diversity and

Qualifications

2 years of experience in Breast Imaging and/or Oncology Nursing
Associate Degree in Nursing or equivalent
Arizona Registered Nurse License or a Compact State license
Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification
Breast Health Navigator (BHCN) Certification preferred

Responsibilities

Guide patients through breast health care from screening to survivorship, coordinating multidisciplinary care.
Educate patients and families on breast anatomy, imaging procedures, pathology results, treatment plans, and follow-up care.
Coordinate scheduling of diagnostic imaging, biopsies, surgical consultations, preoperative testing, and oncology referrals to avoid delays.
Serve as the primary liaison between patients and the multidisciplinary care team, including radiologists, breast surgeons, medical oncologists, radiation oncologists, pathologists, and genetic counselors.
Identify barriers to care and advocate for culturally sensitive, individualized support throughout diagnosis, treatment, and survivorship.
