Job summary

The Tisch Cancer Center at Mount Sinai Health System seeks an accomplished breast medical oncologist to serve as Director for Breast Medical Oncology Clinical Research and to lead the expanding breast cancer trials portfolio.

This senior role integrates clinical leadership with translational science, mentoring, and collaboration with industry and cooperative groups, within a premier academic medical center in New York.

Qualifications

• MD or MD/PhD with board certification/eligibility in Medical Oncology.
• A track record of NIH and/or industry-funded clinical and translational research.
• Strong publication record and national/international reputation in breast oncology and/or drug development.
• Experience mentoring junior investigators and building collaborative research teams.

Responsibilities

• Expand the existing portfolio of phase II-III therapeutic clinical trials.
• Establish and grow an innovative early-phase breast cancer trials program (investigator-initiated and sponsor-initiated).
• Collaborate with translational scientists to accelerate bench-to-bedside development.
• Mentor junior faculty, fellows, and trainees in clinical and translational research.
• Maintain an active clinical practice in breast medical oncology.
• Partner with industry, cooperative groups, and philanthropic partners to expand trial access and funding.
• Contribute to a culture of scientific rigor and collaboration across the Tisch Cancer Center.
