Job summary

Radiology Imaging Associates (RIA) in Lone Tree, Colorado, is seeking a part-time Breast Biopsy Technologist (16 hours/week) to support biopsy procedures. The role involves imaging setup, assisting radiologists across stereotactic, tomosynthesis, ultrasound, and MRI-guided biopsies, and maintaining charts with nursing staff.

Required ARRT Mammography with biopsy experience, and Breast Sonography Certification within one year.

Qualifications

• ARRT (M) Mammography certification with biopsy experience required.
• Breast Sonography Certification must be obtained within 1 year of hire; ARRT/ARDMS breast registry accepted.
• Training in Nuclear Medicine provided post-hire.
• Knowledge of ACR accreditation and MQSA requirements.
• Exceptional patient care skills.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment.
• Work collaboratively as a team-member.
• CPR/BLS certification.
• Diversity of work including biopsy, mammography, and breast sonography encouraged.
• Must read/write/speak English.

Responsibilities

• Facilitate pre biopsy imaging, equipment setup, and post biopsy care of patients.
• Assist Radiologist with stereotactic, tomosynthesis, ultrasound, and MRI-guided breast biopsies.
• Prepare and maintain all charts related to procedures with NP and circulating nurse.
• Ensure infection control procedures are followed and quality standards met.
• Perform post-biopsy mammogram and pre-biopsy imaging (mammography/ultrasound).
• Participate in QC for all imaging equipment.
• Calibrate and deliver Nuclear medicine to administering physician.
• All other duties as assigned.

Radiology Imaging Associates (RIA) is a private radiology practice, composed of over 130 physicians. The group's mission is to improve the health of the patients in the communities we serve by providing them with the highest quality, specialty-based diagnostic imaging, image-guided therapy and associated medical care. A full range of outpatient diagnostic and interventional services is offered though Invision Sally Jobe. The breast care service lines are staffed solely by the breast radiologists.

Primary Responsibilities:
During a typical day you will...

• Facilitate all pre biopsy imaging, equipment set-up, and post biopsy care of patients

Compensation is between $45.00 and $65.00 per hour

In accordance with Colorado law, the range provided is Radiology Imaging Associates reasonable estimate of the base compensation for this role, and is based on non-discriminatory factors such as experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities. Applications will be received on an ongoing basis, and this position will remain open until filled.

Full-time employees will become eligible for benefits on the 1st day of the month following 30 days of employment. Part-time employees may have access to some of these benefits, which may be on a pro-rated basis. PRN employees are not eligible for benefits.
