Description

ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Maintains a clean and safe work environment.
  • Prepares and cooks food to be served in the Employee Dining Room for all employees and guests following the established menu.
  • Cleans all tables prior to opening the dining room.
  • Sets up the serving line and salad bar area, ensuring all food items are presented in a high quality manner.
  • Preps the dining room storage areas appropriately based on anticipated business levels.
  • Greets employees and guests as they enter the dining room. Promptly and consistently serves meals to ensure continuous and courteous service.
  • Develops, maintains, and enhances positive relations with all employees and answers all questions regarding menu options.
  • Ensures the appearance of the Employee Dining Room is pristine by maintaining a clean work and food serving area and a clean dining area throughout the day.
  • Completes all side work, stocking, and cleaning-up as needed.
  • Ensures all food is stored appropriately after closing.
  • Wears and maintains all uniforms properly, including nametag. Must wear a gaming license if in possession of one. Gloves must be worn when serving or handling food.
  • Communicates and cooperates with the Food and Beverage department to ensure the highest degree of service and satisfaction.
  • Alerts supervisor of any concerns regarding the quality, selection, and variety of all food and beverages.
  • Follows established security protocols to ensure that the dining room environment is safe.
  • Regular and reliable attendance is a fundamental requirement of this position. Employees are expected to be punctual and consistently present during their scheduled work hours to ensure the effective and efficient operation of the business.
  • Performs duties in compliance with the Colorado Limited Gaming Act, internal policies and procedures, safety standards, and health standards.
  • Performs other duties, including special projects, as needed and directed.

QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS: Demonstrated hospitality or restaurant cooking and serving experience is preferred. Demonstrated experience performing within specific deadlines or under pressure.

EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE: High School education, or the equivalent in education and experience. One (1) or more years of recent and related hospitality or restaurant experience.

CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS: ServSafe Certification or similar is preferred.

OTHER SKILLS/ABILITIES: Ability to prioritize quickly and appropriately during high volume periods.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS: Essential duties involve performing physical exertion such as frequent brisk walking, climbing stairs, bending, stretching, reaching, pushing, kneeling, squatting, crouching, stooping, and standing for an entire work shift with standard breaks. Essential duties involve working in a small, confined area with floors that may become slippery in the process of preparing food and beverages. Essential duties require lifting and cleaning plates, pots, pans and other cooking utensils containing food. Essential duties may require lifting up to 30 pounds to stack, store, or move kitchen, restaurant, or general office supplies and equipment.

COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS:

$18.00+ an hour based on experience
