You will shape headlines and enterprise pieces, guiding reporters to publication with sharp, timely analysis. You report to the Deputy Executive Editor and help grow our reporting on YouTube and Substack.

Qualifications

• At least five years of experience as a newsroom leader in a breaking news environment.
• Experience spotting, commissioning, editing, and publishing stories quickly while maintaining high editorial standards.

Responsibilities

• Spot, commission, edit, and publish stories in a fast-paced breaking news operation.
• Guide stories to publication and maximize their impact with strong headlines and angles.
• Lead reporting and editing efforts across words, pictures, video and graphics.
• Support the Deputy Executive Editor and contribute to strategic newsroom direction.
