Qualifications

• Requires Bachelor’s degree in journalism or equivalent preferred.
• Ability to communicate effectively and write clearly under deadline pressure.
• Commitment to journalistic ethics and accuracy.
• Strong knowledge of local, national, and world news.
• Proficient with major social media platforms (Facebook, Instagram, Twitter).
• Knowledge of AP style and newsroom systems; familiarity with Avid and iNews is a plus.
• Work nights and weekends as required.
