Job summary

Ascent Hospitality in Montgomery, AL is seeking a Breakfast Attendant to ensure a welcoming morning experience for guests. You will set up the breakfast bar, monitor inventory, assist with prepared foods, and maintain clean, organized service areas in line with brand standards.

Ideal candidates have strong customer service skills, are able to work flexible shifts including weekends, and enjoy collaborating with a team to deliver a memorable guest experience across hotel amenities.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent is preferred.
• Six months Customer Service, hotel or restaurant experience preferred.
• Must have excellent customer service skills.

Responsibilities

• Set up and maintenance of the Breakfast Bar in an attractive abundant looking, organized, clean and standardized presentation, maintaining brand standards at all times.
• Takes inventory of food, beverages and supplies needed for each day
• Assists with set up of prepared foods such as fresh fruit, coffee and juices
• Set up of serving dishes/trays, utensils, cups and other products
• Set up and arrangement of cold food such as sweet rolls, muffins and cereal
• Clears and cleans tables as they are vacated
• Removes trash from service area
• Restocks self-service food and supplies as needed
• Wash serving equipment and return to proper storage
• Return reusable food supplies to storage after service
• Vacuum, sweep carpets & floors
• Mop floors
• Dust, brush, polish, & vacuum furniture
• Dust and cleans room decorations, appliances, & structural surfaces (e.g. wall fixtures, window sills, vents, etc.; using appropriate cleaners designated by immediate supervisor)
• Inspect areas for safety hazards
• Check operating conditions of equipment
• Report lost & found articles per hotel procedure
• Report maintenance problems (common areas) to the department supervisor and maintenance
• Performs any other duties assigned by supervisor/ manager.
• Perform special daily projects assigned by supervisor/ manager
