Job summary

AC Hotel Cleveland Circle, a Colwen Hotels property, is seeking a friendly Breakfast Server to join our team in the Boston area. You will be the face of our restaurant, greeting guests, taking orders, and delivering food and beverages with a positive attitude.

The role requires strong customer service and teamwork, ability to work a fast-paced environment, and a flexible schedule including nights and weekends. Prior serving experience is preferred, with opportunities to grow within Colwen Hotels.

Qualifications

• Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills.
• Ability to operate point-of-sale system.
• Ability to work quickly and efficiently.
• Organizational and time management skills.
• Ability to work with a team.
• Ability to maintain personal hygiene.
• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Previous experience as a server preferred.
• Ability to work 7-day rotational schedule, including nights, weekends and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Acknowledge and welcome each guest with a smile, eye contact, and a friendly greeting (use guest name when possible).
• Take orders from guests and deliver to appropriate person to execute.
• Answer questions regarding the menu.
• Maintain knowledge of all menu items and composition.
• Take food and beverage orders and deliver to the kitchen.
• Delivers food, beverages, condiments and other requested items.
• Ensure that food is prepared correctly and to the guest’s satisfaction; return incorrect or improperly cooked items to the kitchen.
• Collect plates and clear table as guests finish their meal.
• Adhere to all applicable Colwen and brand standards for food and beverage service and compliance with state liquor policies.
• Clean designated areas in accordance with defined procedures.
• Ensure sideboards are adequately stocked.
• Set tables to standards, and that all items are clean and in good repair.
• Prepare guest checks and collect payment.
• Assist with other restaurant tasks such as cleaning the dining area and preparing silverware and condiments.
• Perform other related duties as assigned, you may required to perform a variety or duties in multiple departments during a shift.
