Hazel Park School District is seeking a Breakfast & Lunch Paraprofessional for Hazel Park Junior High School. This ten-month, part-time position is Not to Exceed 15 Hours Per Week and follows the Master Agreement.

The role offers placement on Level III Salary Schedule at $15.64 per hour. The job focuses on supervising students during meals and assisting with related duties, requiring good communication, public relations, and the ability to work with diverse backgrounds.

Qualifications

• Shall have high school diploma or equivalent.
• Good communication skills.
• Good public relations skills.
• Good attendance record is expected.
• Ability to work around interruptions.
• Ability to work with a variety of backgrounds.
• Ability to communicate with teachers, pupils, parents and the public with friendliness and poise.
• Ability to pursue and secure non-compliant, runaway students.

Responsibilities

• Supervise students at breakfast and lunch, circulate around the cafeteria tables.
• Supervise students outside or inside during breakfast and lunch recess time.
• Supervise students returning to class.
• Other tasks as requested during the breakfast and lunch period.
• Assist with other breakfast and lunch assistant’s responsibilities as needed.
• Complete student accident reports as required.
• Maintain confidentiality of work related information
• Perform all assigned tasks in a prompt and professional manner.
• Act in the best interest of the school district.
