Job summary

Opaa! Food Management, Inc. is seeking staff to prepare breakfast and lunch offerings and assist with serving lines. This role involves daily kitchen duties, occasional catering, and compliance with Opaa! recipes and safety standards.

The position requires the ability to operate kitchen equipment, maintain clean workspaces, and present food attractively while ensuring proper temperatures and portion control. Prior food service experience is a plus, with pay rates varying by state and position.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred; may depend on experience.
• Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions and memos.
• Basic math for counts, measurements, and portioning.
• Ability to follow safety and HACCP guidelines and standards.
• Experience in food service is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Assist with serving line setup and ensure food is held at required temperatures.
• Prepare foods per menu and Opaa! recipes; plan ahead for next day’s menus.
• Operate slicers, mixers, grinders, and other equipment with proper certification.
• Maintain clean, organized work areas and observe FIFO inventory practices.
• Assist in batch cooking and present foods attractively to customers.
• Serve items with correct portions and hospitality; keep lines stocked with supplies.
