Eggs Up Grill Bluffton SC is seeking a Line Cook/Prep Cook to join a fast-paced kitchen, proficiently cooking across five stations and prepping ingredients. You’ll uphold food safety with ServSafe standards and support a collaborative team. The schedule runs 6AM-2PM daily, with weekend shifts essential to serving guests promptly.

Candidates should have proven line cook/prep cook experience and a willingness to learn Eggs Up Grill recipes and processes to make our guests smile.

Qualifications

• Fluency in kitchen terminology.
• Strong knowledge of cooking methods and equipment.
• Proven cooking experience as line cook/prep cook.

Responsibilities

• Set up and stock stations with all necessary supplies
• Prepare food for service
• Cook menu items in cooperation with the rest of the kitchen staff
• Clean up station and kitchen
• Stock inventory appropriately
• Ensure that food comes out at high quality and in a timely fashion
• Comply with nutrition and sanitation regulations and safety standards
• Maintain a positive and professional approach with coworkers and customers
• Complete Temperature Logs and Checklists for daily and weekly cleaning and maintenance tasks
• Participate in all roles in the kitchen as required, including as dishwasher when needed

Description

The Line Cook works with a team to provide excellent, delicious, and consistently prepared food in a fast-paced environment. The Line Cook/Prep Cook is able to proficiently cook recipes at each of five stations as well as prep all ingredients. Food safety and ServSafe procedures are of the utmost importance and each Line Cook is very familiar with these regulations. This team member maintains a great attitude during stressful, busy kitchen shifts as well as assisting fellow line cooks and Kitchen Manager as they are able. Great service, great attitude, and great teamwork are key traits of this employee. We are open daily from 6AM-2PM so you can be home every night with your family! Weekends, SATURDAY AND SUNDAY are a critical part of our business, and we need Breakfast Line cooks that can ensure we provide our guests with great food, served hot and quick!

Job activities:

Requirements

Must be available to work from 6AM-2PM Saturday AND Sunday

Familiarity and fluency in kitchen terminology

Excellent understanding of various cooking methods, ingredients, procedures, and equipment

Accuracy and speed in executing assigned tasks

Familiar with industry best practices

Willingness to pursue ServSafe certification is a plus

Proven cooking experience, including experience as a line chef/prep cook

Willingness to learn the Eggs Up Grill menus, recipes and processes, to create food to make our guests smile.
