Job summary

Embassy Suites Rockford Riverfront is seeking a Cook for the Complimentary Breakfast Area. You will prepare items per standardized recipes, ensure cleanliness and safety in the kitchen, and minimize waste while serving guests efficiently during breakfast hours.

The role requires a high school diploma or equivalent, Food Handlers Certification, and the ability to work in a fast-paced hotel environment. Benefits and daily pay options are available after the initial period.

Responsibilities

• Provide friendly, service-oriented interactions with guests and colleagues.
• Maintain regular attendance according to hotel scheduling.
• Wear proper uniform and name tag per brand standards.
• Comply with Aimbridge Hospitality standards and safety regulations.
• Meet Food Handlers and other certification requirements.
• Know menus and required preparations per hotel standards.
• Keep storage areas clean and organized.
• Prepare and display buffet items for the Complimentary Breakfast.
• Prepare foods following standard recipes under supervisor directions.
• Maintain cleanliness of kitchen equipment and work areas.
• Practice safe work habits to prevent injuries.
• Follow hotel policies and emergency procedures.
• Attend meetings as required by management.
• Perform other duties as requested by management.
