Timber Ridge Lodge & Waterpark is seeking a Breakfast Cook to prepare and cook all items per menus, expedite orders, and mentor junior team members to meet standards.

Located in Lake Geneva, WI, part of The Marcus Corporation’s Marcus Hotels & Resorts, this role emphasizes quality, speed, and sanitation while supporting a local, all-season resort environment.

Qualifications

• Experience as a line cook in a fast-paced, high-pressure kitchen.
• Good knife handling and basic prep skills.
• Ability to stand for long periods and lift up to 100 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Prepare station-specific items per recipes with consistency and quality.
• Monitor storage, portion sizes, stocks, and sauces.
• Maintain cleanliness to Health Department standards.
• Ensure equipment is clean, sanitized, and operational.
• Uphold high standards of food production and presentation.
• Maintain personal hygiene and sanitation practices.
• Manage station setup, breakdown, and prep work.
• Follow recipe specifications for all foods.

As a Breakfast Cook at Timber Ridge Lodge & Waterpark, you will be responsible for preparing and cooking all food items according to menus, expedite orders quickly and correctly as ordered, and ensuring junior members of team are performing duties to standards and specifications.

Tucked within historic Lake Geneva, Timber Ridge Lodge at the Grand Geneva Resort, is the only all-season, all-suite, destination of its kind in the Midwest. Featuring 50,000 square feet of year-round, indoor/outdoor waterpark excitement, Timber Ridge Lodge is a family bonding adventure that’s soaked in memories. What you will be doing:

• Prepare station-specific food items according to recipes, ensuring consistency and quality.

What we are looking for:

• Previous experience as a line cook in a fast paced, high pressure, and busy work environment.
• High school diploma preferred.
• Sufficient manual dexterity of hand in order to use all kitchen equipment, i.e., knives, spoons, spatulas, tongs, slicers, etc.
• Knowledge of proper knife handling, techniques, and cooking procedures and basic prep functions (i.e. cleaning greens, prepping vegetables).
• Ability to lift, push, or pull weights up to 100 pounds.
• Ability to stand for long periods, work in a confined space with high levels of noise and frequent interruptions, and perform duties within extreme temperature ranges.
• Ability to obtain any local, state or federal license or certification for sanitation, liquor service, or food service certification.
• Must be able to work a varied schedule to include days, evenings, weekends, holidays and the ability to work under pressure.
• Must have reliable transportation to and from work.
