Part-Time Position

Summary of Essential Job Functions
• Contribute to a fun, energized and comfortable working environment as an
active member of the Aloft team
• Set up and maintain the breakfast service in an attractive, standardized and
full-looking manner. Keep area organized and clean, and replenish depleted
items
• Take inventory of food and beverage and supplies needed for each day.
Order, communicate needs, or assist with purchase of food supplies.
• Visually inspect, select and use only the freshest fruits, vegetables, meats
and other food products of the highest standard in the preparation of all
menu items.
• Read and employ math skills for following recipes.
• Prepare various food items.
• Set up serving, utensils, cups and other products.
• Clear and clean vacated tables.
• Wash equipment and return it to storage. Return reusable food to storage.
• Engage with and respond to all guest requests for additional breakfast
items, hotel information, directions, and any other assistance.
• Ensure the proper storage of product, especially of fresh produce and dairy
• Check on portion control to maintain quality product
• Comply with attendance rules and be available to work on a regular basis.
• Perform any other job-related duties as assigned.


Abilities Required
• Must have the ability to communicate in English.
• Self-starting personality with an even disposition.
• Maintain a professional appearance and manner at all times.
• Communicate well with guests.
• Must be willing to “pitch-in” and help co- workers with their job duties and
be a team player.
• Ability to grasp, bend, lift and/or carry, or otherwise move or push goods on
a cart weighing a maximum of 50 lbs., on a continuous schedule.
• Treat all guests and employees with courtesy and respect
• Adaptable to change in your work area and in hotel procedures with a
willingness to learn new skills and/or improve existing ones, have the ability
to solve routine problems that occur on the job, and ask for help whenever
you are not sure how to do something.
