San Marcos Embassy Suites in San Marcos, TX is seeking a part‑time hospitality teammate to prepare and present our complimentary breakfast and evening reception, keep service areas clean, and greet guests with a friendly, helpful attitude.

You’ll work as part of a team, follow safety standards, assist with light food prep, and support daily operations. Prior restaurant or customer service experience is preferred; certifications in Food Safety or Alcohol Awareness help, but training is available.

Qualifications

• Attitude and team mindset prioritized for entry role.
• Flexibility to work in a fast-paced hotel environment.
• Willingness to obtain Food Safety and Alcohol Awareness certifications if needed.
• Restaurant or customer service experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Set the stage for a great guest experience by preparing, presenting, and maintaining our complimentary breakfast and/or evening reception
• Keep everything clean, stocked, and guest-ready—buffets, service areas, tables, and equipment
• Greet guests with a friendly, helpful attitude and handle questions or concerns quickly and professionally
• Jump in where needed—light food prep, restocking, bussing tables, or supporting bar/service areas
• Follow food safety and sanitation standards to ensure a safe, clean environment for guests and team members
• Monitor food quality, proper storage, and temperature standards throughout your shift
• Work as part of a team to keep service running smoothly and efficiently
• Communicate key updates during shift changes to keep everyone aligned
• Follow all safety, security, and company policies, and report any issues as needed
