Job Description

Position Summary

Provide breakfast to hotel guests according to Hotel Brand standards and maintain the breakfast buffet, seating area, and kitchen to Hotel Brand and Health Department standards.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Prepare and serve breakfast according to the hotel’s chart, ensuring presentation is appealing.
  2. Establish rapport with guests to make them feel welcome.
  3. Follow daily cleaning schedules and maintain logs as required by hotel and health regulations.
  4. Manage food inventories, coordinate with the front desk on occupancy, and ensure sufficient food supply.
  5. Assist with ordering supplies twice weekly or as needed, following minimum order requirements.
  6. Report maintenance issues to the front desk for engineering assistance.
  7. Maintain a professional appearance and attitude, assisting guests and with food prep or cleanup as needed.
  8. Monitor cooking and storage temperatures for safety.
  9. Be familiar with hotel facilities, emergency procedures, and assist the MOD in emergencies.
  10. Handle meeting room schedules as required.
  11. Perform other duties as assigned by supervisors or management.
Qualifications
  • Serv-Safe certified
  • Previous hotel experience preferred

  • Good grooming and personal presentation
  • Ability to multi-task and stay composed under pressure
  • Effective communication skills in English, both verbal and written
Additional Information

Education: General education or equivalent work experience

Work Environment: Exposure to cleaning chemicals and physical activity including standing, walking, bending, lifting up to 75 lbs., and carrying objects up to 40 lbs.
