Job summary

Embassy Suites Georgetown is seeking a Breakfast Attendant/Busser to help set and clear dining tables, stock service stations, and assist with banquet service during events. You will deliver friendly guest service and support daily operations.

The role requires a high school diploma and fluent English. Morning, weekend, and holiday work is expected as part of the hotel’s dining schedule.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Previous background from the hospitality industry preferred.
• Ability to speak, read, and write fluent English; other languages beneficial.

Responsibilities

• Maintain proper food handling and sanitation practices.
• Set and prepare tables for dining, including folding napkins and placing tableware.
• Report maintenance issues or supply shortages to management.
• Stock, maintain and clean designated food or server stations.
• Assist food servers with table service and beverages.
• Retrieve and transport dirty tableware to the dishwashing area for cleaning.
• Serve multiple guests efficiently during peak breakfast hours.
• Clear dirty table settings and prepare tables for resetting.
• Respond to guest inquiries and resolve issues promptly and courteously.
• Regularly clean and sanitize tables, chairs, and buffet stations.
• Communicate with kitchen staff regarding food availability and guest requests.

As a Breakfast Attendant/ Busser you would be responsible for setting and clearing dining tables and stocking service stations in the hotel's continuing effort to deliver outstanding guest service and financial profitability. Additionally, you will assist with banquet service as needed, ensuring smooth operations during events.

Specifically, you would be responsible for performing the following tasks to the highest standards:

• Maintaining proper food handling and sanitation practices.
• Set and prepare tables for dining, including, but not limited to, folding napkins, cleaning and placing tableware, serving water, etc.
• Reporting any maintenance issues or supply shortages to management
• Stock, maintain and clean designated food station(s) / server station(s)
• Assist food server(s) with table service, including, but not limited to, serving beverages, bread and butter, etc.
• Retrieve and transport dirty tableware to dishwashing area for proper cleaning
• Efficiently serving multiple guests during peak breakfast hours
• Clear dirty table settings and preparetables for resetting
• Respond to guest inquiries and requests and resolve issues in a timely, friendly and efficient manner
• Regularly cleaning and sanitizing tables, chairs, and buffet stations.
• Communicating with kitchen staff regarding food availability and guest requests.

Qualifications and Requirements

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Previous background from the hospitality industry preferred.
• Ability to speak, read, and write fluent English; other languages beneficial.
• Frequently standing up, bending, climbing, kneeling, and moving about the facility.
• Will be required to regularly use commercial cleaning chemicals.
• Carrying, lifting or pulling items weighing up to 50 pounds.
• Will be required to work mornings, weekends, and holidays.
