Location Description

The Sandman is an ideal launch pad for exploring Sonoma Wine Country. An affordable and inviting option among Santa Rosa, California hotels, Sandman is located just off US-101, mere minutes from the area’s best wineries and breweries, dining, outdoor activities and downtown businesses. Channeling a tropical-meets-Californian-bohemian flare, the Pool House & Bar offers refreshing cocktails with an al fresco ambiance. Sandman’s year-round heated pool and hot tub encourage lingering afternoons in the sunshine. Our spacious Backyard is complete with adirondack chairs, fire tables, a bocce court, and cornhole.

Overview

This hybrid role combines morning breakfast service and bar operations to create a seamless guest experience throughout the day. The ideal candidate is personable, efficient, and passionate about hospitality—able to provide excellent service during breakfast hours and transition smoothly into a professional bartending role.

Essential Duties And Responsibilities

Breakfast Attendant Duties (2 shifts):

• Set up, stock, and maintain the daily breakfast buffet.
• Greet guests with a warm and welcoming attitude.
• Ensure food items are fresh, presentable, and replenished as needed.
• Maintain cleanliness of the breakfast area, including tables, counters, and food displays.
• Prepare simple breakfast items as required.
• Assist guests with any dietary needs or questions.
• Follow all food safety and sanitation guidelines.

Bartender Duties (2 Shifts)

• Set up and stock the bar with supplies, garnishes, and wine and beer.
• Prepare and serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages according to recipes.
• Engage with guests in a friendly and professional manner.
• Maintain cleanliness of the bar and lounge area.
• Monitor guest consumption and comply with all responsible alcohol service policies.
• Handle cash, credit card transactions, and maintain an accurate register.
• Close the bar and complete cleaning/checklist duties.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in food service, bartending, or customer service preferred.
• Food Handler's and Responsible Beverage Service certifications (or willing to obtain).
• Excellent communication and guest service skills.
• Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
• Must be 21 years of age or older to serve alcohol.
• Flexible availability, including early mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays.

Compensation Range

The compensation for this position is $18.00/Hr. - $22.00/Hr. based on qualifications and experience.
