Job summary

Shamin Hotels is seeking a Breakfast Attendant in Sandston, VA. The role focuses on assembling and replenishing the breakfast buffet, serving guests, and coordinating with kitchen staff. The position is hourly and part of the Food and Beverage department within a hotel setting.

Starting at an entry level with a daytime breakfast shift (5:00 am – 12:00 pm), you will ensure offerings are well stocked, maintained to brand standards, and served with warmth to guests as part of our hospitality team.

Responsibilities

• Provide personalized service to all guests.
• Set up and maintain breakfast bar per brand standards.
• Take inventory of food, beverages, and supplies for the day.
• Prepare foods like fresh fruit, coffee, and juices.
• Arrange pastries and cereals and other cold foods.
• Clear and clean tables as they are vacated.
• Prepare and set up hot items and restock during breakfast hours.
• Washing serving equipment and return to storage.
• Assist with other duties assigned by management.

Position Overview

Breakfast Attendants are responsible for assembling and disassembling breakfast buffets, and ensuring that the buffet remains well-stocked at all times. In full-service establishments, Breakfast Attendants receive orders from customers, communicate these to the kitchen staff, and clear tables.

Essential Job Functions

• Providing personalized service to all guests
• Setting up and maintaining the breakfast bar as required by brand standards
• Taking inventory of food, beverages, and supplies needed for each day
• Preparing foods such as fresh fruit, coffee, and juices from concentration
• Setting out/arranging cold food, such as pastries, cereals, etc.
• Clearing and cleaning tables as they are vacated
• Preparing and setting up hot food items
• Restocking items consistently throughout breakfast hours and for the next day
• Washing serving equipment and returning to storage
• Other and all duties, projects, and tasks assigned by management
