Job summary

Atrium Hospitality’s Des Moines Embassy Suites is seeking a part-time Breakfast Attendant to prepare and present our complimentary breakfast and evening receptions, keep buffets and service areas clean, greet guests warmly, and collaborate with the team to ensure a smooth, guest-friendly experience. No experience? No problem—training is provided.

Prior restaurant or customer service experience is helpful. Must be able to stand, walk, bend, and lift up to 50 lbs; flexible days, nights, weekends,

Qualifications

• No experience? No problem! If you have a great attitude and love teamwork, we’ll teach you the rest.
• Food Safety and Alcohol Awareness certifications (or willingness to obtain within 60 days)
• Ability to stand, walk, bend, and lift up to 50 lbs during your shift
• Flexible availability for days, nights, weekends, and holidays

Responsibilities

• Set the stage for a great guest experience by preparing, presenting, and maintaining our complimentary breakfast and/or evening reception
• Keep everything clean, stocked, and guest-ready—buffets, service areas, tables, and equipment
• Greet guests with a friendly, helpful attitude and handle questions or concerns quickly and professionally
• Jump in where needed—whether that’s light food prep, restocking, bussing tables, or supporting bar/service areas
• Follow food safety and sanitation standards to ensure a safe, clean environment for guests and team members
• Monitor food quality, proper storage, and temperature standards throughout your shift
• Work as part of a team to keep service running smoothly and efficiently
• Communicate key updates during shift changes to keep everyone aligned
• Follow all safety, security, and company policies, and report any issues as needed
