Overview

Are you interested in learning to mix and create handcrafted artisan bread and lots of it? Nugget Markets is looking for dedicated bakery enthusiasts to join our passionate and talented bakery team! This is a full-time position with shifts that start at 4:00am.

Responsibilities

The bread mixer’s primary responsibilities include mixing and preparing hundreds of hand-formed artisan breads each shift. This involves prepping produce and deli products for bakery items; mixing and scaling ingredients; benching dough; loading carts and racks with product; lifting and stacking flour; and operating all kitchen machinery including ovens, proofers, mixers, and dough dividers while maintaining a clean, sanitary, and attractive work environment. They will also assist bakery clerks and provide excellent service to guests as needed.

Qualifications

You should meet the following minimum requirements:

• At least 18 years of age
• Possess basic math skills
• Physical ability to mix hundreds of pounds of dough and form into loaves
• Ability to lift and carry up to 75 pounds
• Have intermediate product knowledge including knowledge of temperature, chemical reactions, and bakery products
• Basic understanding of the English language, including the ability to communicate and read basic instructions, schedules, and signage
• Have a passion for producing great products consistently
• A positive attitude is essential!
