Job summary

H-E-B in Austin is seeking a Production Specialist to provide our Customers with fresh, made-in-store products, with a focus on hot foods such as rotisserie chicken and sandwiches. You will maintain and ensure compliance with department and food safety standards.

You will cut, slice, dice, and prep ingredients, manage in-stock levels, assist in multiple cooking venues and catering orders, and help ensure accurate, timely production and high-quality customer service.

Qualifications

• Age Requirement: 18+
• Work Experience: 1+ years in commercial foodservice
• Education: HS Diploma or GED or equivalent
• Licenses/Certifications: Culinary certification or equivalent training/work experience

Responsibilities

• Cuts, slices, dices, chops food for recipe preparation
• Preps in accordance with recipe specifications and SOPs
• Uses production planning tools to ensure 100% in-stock
• Completes tasks at assigned workstation
• Assists in multiple cooking venues
• Assists in catering orders as needed
• Masters recipe preparation and daily production
• Prepares, packages, and stocks fresh product
• Performs other duties as needed
