Job summary

Responsibilities include inspecting workpieces, reading blueprints, operating or tending furnaces to join metal parts, preventing overheating, and ensuring secure bonds before parts leave the department.

Qualifications

• HS diploma or GED required.
• Vocational training is ideal but not required.
• Experience with soldering or welding is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Inspect, measure, or test metal workpieces to ensure specifications.
• Ensure product accuracy and uniformity throughout manufacturing.
• Provide general maintenance to machines.
• Read blueprints and adhere to components.
• Set up, operate, or tend machines joining components to fabricate metal products.
• Correct problems by adjusting controls or stopping machines.
• Attach tip to body of two metals and verify correct pocket size.
• Avoid overheating substrate and prevent damage.
• Verify secure bonds before parts leave the department.
• Other duties as assigned.
