Qualifications

• Must be able to lift heavy objects >50 lbs repeatedly.
• Endure extreme heat in foundry environments.
• Ability to read and understand training materials and instructions.
• Must work safely around moving machinery (ladle, crane, forklift).
• Use proper PPE including respirator, metatarsal boots, eye/hearing protection, hood and leggings.

Responsibilities

• Load scrap metal into brass melting furnace.
• Utilize ladle to transfer molten metal to pouring line.
• Monitor temperature of melting furnace.
• Remove slag from furnace and clean up.
• Perform other duties as required by supervision.
