  • Working knowledge of Adobe Creative Cloud, particularly Illustrator and Photoshop, with an understanding of how design tools connect to web production workflows
  • Some experience with open-source data visualization libraries such as D3, Three.js, or comparable tools, and/or data analysis languages such as Python, R, or Node.js
  • Strong writing skills and a sharp editorial instinct, with the ability to shape clear narratives around complex data and global themes
  • Exceptional attention to detail, high degree of self-motivation, and the ability to manage work independently while remaining deeply collaborative
  • Strong interpersonal skills and genuine eagerness to learn through shadowing, feedback, and hands-on iteration
  • Comfortable working in a Mac OS environment
  • Familiarity with geospatial tools such as QGIS, Mapbox, or similar platforms preferred
  • An eye for print and editorial design, including grid systems, typographic hierarchy, and layout composition preferred
  • Basic understanding of artificial intelligence concepts, with curiosity and enthusiasm for learning how AI tools can be used to improve processes and drive efficiency. Interest in exploring AI systems and a willingness to develop awareness of responsible AI practices, including risk management and ethical use

Education
