Job summary

Sephora is offering a Design Intern internship in the Creative Brand Studio in San Francisco for a 10-week summer program. You will gain hands-on experience in brand storytelling, layout development, and asset creation across marketing channels while mentored by experienced designers.

The role emphasizes collaboration with art directors and cross-functional teams, exposure to digital and in-store creative, and learning how concepts evolve from concept to execution under Pacific Time constraints.

Qualifications

• Currently pursuing a degree in Graphic Design, Visual Communications, Advertising, or a related field.
• Portfolio demonstrating strong design fundamentals, creativity, and attention to detail.
• Working knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign); familiarity with Figma is a plus.
• Understanding of design principles including typography, color, layout, and composition.
• Interest in motion design, animation, or Adobe After Effects is a plus.
• Strong communication, organization, and time management skills.
• Eagerness to learn, receive feedback, and contribute in a collaborative team environment.

Responsibilities

• Support the creative team in designing and adapting assets for marketing campaigns, social media, digital experiences, and retail environments.
• Assist with layout development, typography, image selection, and asset preparation while learning and applying Sephora brand standards.
• Collaborate with designers, art directors, copywriters, and cross-functional partners to help bring creative concepts to life.
• Participate in creative reviews, team meetings, and brainstorming sessions, contributing ideas and gaining exposure to the creative development process.
• Help organize files, manage design updates, and ensure work is delivered accurately and on schedule.
