Job description

Brand Strategy & Activation Advisor

We’re looking for a strategic, collaborative, and brand‑passionate professional who thrives on turning vision into action. As a Brand Strategy & Management Advisor, you will help shape how our brand comes to life across the enterprise by driving consistency, strengthening brand adoption, and enabling impactful experiences for our customers, clients, and stakeholders. This role is ideal for someone who combines strategic thinking with strong execution and enjoys partnering across teams to deliver meaningful business outcomes. If you're energized by solving complex challenges, influencing without authority, and helping organizations bring their brand strategy to life, this role offers an exciting opportunity to make a broad impact.

Responsibilities

Focused on brand stewardship, strategic execution, and enterprise impact

  • Champion the enterprise brand strategy by guiding the successful rollout, adoption, and implementation of brand initiatives across the organization.
  • Partner with Marketing, Operations, Digital, Technology, and other key stakeholders to translate brand objectives into actionable plans that drive consistency and business results.
  • Lead and coordinate cross-functional brand projects, ensuring brand standards are integrated into customer experiences, communications, and business initiatives.
  • Serve as a trusted advisor on brand application, providing guidance that enables teams to execute with clarity, confidence, and consistency.
  • Develop and deliver communications, education, and enablement strategies that increase understanding, adoption, and advocacy of enterprise brand initiatives.
  • Proactively manage priorities, dependencies, risks, and timelines across multiple projects to ensure successful execution and delivery.
  • Create and maintain project plans, dashboards, presentations, and reporting materials that provide visibility into progress, challenges, and key decisions.
  • Build strong relationships with internal stakeholders, agency partners, and vendors to support alignment, collaboration, and shared success.
  • Identify opportunities to improve brand processes, governance, tools, and operational practices that enhance efficiency and strengthen brand consistency.
  • Support broader brand team initiatives, including strategic planning, operational excellence, brand governance, training, and capability development.
  • Ability to work from a Cigna Group office 3 days a week, as directed by the business.
Ideal Candidates Will Offer
  • Minimum 6+ years of experience in brand strategy, marketing, brand management, communications, or a related field.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Business, or a related field (preferred, not required).
  • Experience supporting enterprise brand initiatives and translating strategy into actionable programs and experiences.
  • Strong project management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities, stakeholders, and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Demonstrated success working in highly matrixed organizations and influencing outcomes across teams without direct authority.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and relationship-building skills.
  • Ability to think strategically while maintaining strong attention to detail and execution excellence.
  • Experience collaborating with cross-functional teams including marketing, operations, digital, technology, creative agencies, and external partners.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to identify risks, develop solutions, and drive decisions forward.
  • Experience developing training, enablement, or communication programs that support adoption and organizational alignment.
  • Comfortable navigating ambiguity and determining next steps in evolving environments where established playbooks may not exist.
  • Passion for branding, customer experience, and delivering consistent, high-quality brand experiences.
  • Experience supporting brand transformation, rebranding, or large-scale enterprise brand implementation initiatives is a plus.
