Job description

Our client, a leading analytics and technology partner to the global insurance industry, is currently seeking a Brand Manager to join their team. You will be a key player in aligning their brand identity and market positioning across both legacy and newly acquired entities. You will lead the development and execution of the company's branding initiatives, guide the smooth integration of acquired brands, and ensure that all audiences—internal and external—experience a coherent, purposeful, and differentiated brand identity.

You’ll operate at the intersection of brand, marketing, corporate development (M&A), and change management, ensuring that every step of brand evolution supports the company's long-term business goals and reputation equity.

THIS IS A TEMP TO PERM ROLE

You Will
Brand Strategy & Positioning
  • Continue defining the brand's positioning, visual identity, and value proposition across core and emerging markets
  • Translate customer, market, and competitive insights into differentiated brand strategies that support business objectives
  • Craft brand architecture and alignment principles (e.g., sub-brands, mark relationships, naming conventions) for new acquisitions
Integrated Marketing & Campaign Oversight
  • Lead planning, management, and execution of multi-channel brand campaigns (digital, content, social, thought leadership)
  • Support creative development, content planning, and campaign activation across functions
  • Monitor and analyze campaign performance, recommending optimization or pivots based on metrics and feedback
M&A Brand Integration & Change Management
  • Serve as the primary point of ownership for brand integration of acquisitions: from due diligence through to full assimilation. (E.g. visual identity, naming, messaging, website transitions.)
  • Develop and maintain a repeatable M&A Brand Integration Playbook/toolkit to guide future integrations
  • Partner closely with the Competitive Intelligence team to develop a full GTM marketing plan and budget for migration, including market research, employee engagement and culture, new business opportunities, resource allocation, brand awareness, and demand generation activities
  • Lead cross-functional integration efforts, coordinating with Competitive Intelligence, Corporate Development, Communications, Legal, Product, IT, Business Units, HR, and external agencies
  • Manage internal and external communications related to brand changes (e.g., training, town halls, transition guides)
  • Forecast risks in brand perception or customer experience during integration and develop mitigation strategies.
Stakeholder Management & Alignment
  • Build consensus across senior leadership, business units, and functional partners around brand strategy and integration plans
  • Act as a brand advisor and educator, ensuring teams (sales, marketing, product, customer success) understand and apply brand guidelines.
  • Provide brand counsel in strategic discussions (e.g., product launches, M&A diligence, positioning decisions)
Analytics, Measurement & Optimization
  • Define and monitor KPIs for brand health, campaign impact, integration success (e.g., brand awareness, NPS, engagement, retention, cross-sell)
  • Use data and insights to continuously refine branding strategies, investments, and actions
  • Present clear, data-backed recommendations to leadership on brand investments, prioritization, or change
You Have
  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business, Communications, or a related field (MBA or advanced degree a plus)
  • 7+ years of experience in B2B marketing, brand strategy, product marketing, or integrated marketing roles
  • Demonstrated success managing complex brand and integration projects across functional teams
  • Strong project management capabilities with experience juggling multiple initiatives in parallel
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and stakeholder management skills (comfortable engaging senior leaders)
  • Strong analytical mindset; skilled at using data and insights to inform strategy and track impact
  • Deep understanding of digital marketing, demand generation, marketing automation, and performance attribution
  • Ability to lead cross-functional teams, influence without direct authority, and drive alignment
  • Adaptability, strategic thinking, creativity, and a willingness to roll up your sleeves
Logistics
  • Duration: now through January, at which time the role will convert to full-time
  • Hours/Week: part-time 20 -30 hours a week until conversion to full-time
  • Onsite/offsite: Hybrid - Jersey City, NJ
  • Reporting to: Director, Brand Strategy
  • Salary/Rate: $60-70 per hour PAY
