Job summary

Johnson Health Center seeks a Communications Intern who is currently enrolled in a college program in communications or marketing. You will assist the Associate Director of Communications, help publish brand-aligned materials, and support website, social media, and Google listings.

You will collaborate with Patient Engagement, Development, and Human Resources teams to promote JHC brand, events, and career opportunities. This role requires in-person attendance at our Madison Heights, VA office.

Qualifications

• Active enrollment in a local college or university communications or marketing program.
• Demonstrate knowledge of outreach methods.
• Proficient in use of technology and social media.
• Well-developed communication skills (oral and written).
• Ability to work as a team and communicate clearly without prompting.
• Must have a valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.

Responsibilities

• Assist with creation, production, and distribution of promotional materials.
• Assist with JHC’s social media, website, and promotional content.
• Maintain brand style guide usage as needed.
• Represent JHC at community events and outreach activities.
• Support externally hosted events and networking opportunities.
• Assist with inventory of branded materials and creation of new materials.
