Mitchell Homes in Belville, NC, is hiring a Design Studio Consultant for our brand-new Design Studio in the Wilmington/ Leland area. You will guide buyers through selections, balance their wants with budget, and hand them a finalized selections package for construction.

The role is full-time and in-person with a base salary plus a monthly appointments bonus. We offer a brand-new studio with ownership, retirement and health benefits, and opportunities to grow as we expand in Wilmington.

Qualifications

• 2+ years in interior design, new-home design studio, or related field.
• Ability to guide customers through high-dollar purchases without pressuring
• Strong eye for color and finishes across a whole home
• Exceptional accuracy and attention to detail in selection sheets
• Strong organizational skills and multi-buyer management
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and ability to learn builder software quickly
• Reliable in-person attendance at Belville studio; weekend/evening availability
• Valid driver's license

Responsibilities

• Run selections appointments with new-home buyers (2–3 sessions per family)
• Present and explain full standard and upgrade catalogs (interior and exterior)
• Provide recommendations to balance wish list with budget
• Produce accurate selection sheets and change orders for construction/purchasing
• Merchandise and maintain the studio; keep samples in stock
• Meet vendor reps to stay current on products and bring good ones to us
• Partner with sales team on buyer handoffs to keep schedules on track
