Natura Life + Science is seeking a field-focused Brand Manager in California to drive growth for Dee Thai and ICED. You will directly manage in-store placement, merchandising, and creative assets, working with a cross-functional team for on-shelf impact.
You will own brand storytelling, trend tracking, and field promotions, with regular store visits and hands-on display installs. A 3+ year track record and CA driver license are required.
Natura Life + Science · Sacramento, CA Reports to the VP of Product & Sales
Dee Thai and ICED are two great brands with real momentum -- flavor-forward, culture-forward, and ready to blow up. What they need is a driver. That's you.
You live cannabis. You know the products, the strains, the culture -- what's moving on shelves and on feeds before everyone else catches on. You can talk terps with a budtender, clock a competitor's new drop the week it lands, and spot the display that's winning the room from the doorway. And you've grown a brand before -- so you know growth doesn't happen in decks. It happens door by door, SKU by SKU, shelf by shelf.
That's how you'll run these two brands: the right placement in the right doors, marketing materials that are on point, every merchandising opportunity pushed through, and a sharp position for each brand. You'll have a full team behind you -- sales, design, field, creators -- but you are the driver. Nothing about these brands waits for someone else to notice it.
This is not a desk job. You go to stores. You reset the shelf yourself, install the vinyl yourself, and walk out with the display better than you found it.
We are an AI-first marketing team. You'll use AI tools (Claude) every day — brand playbooks, store visit reports, competitive analysis, campaign briefs -- so your time goes to the brands, not the paperwork. In your first 30 days you'll build your scorecard with leadership; after that, you own the numbers every week.
Brand growth, SKU by SKU: Know every Dee Thai and ICED SKU cold -- where it's placed, how it's priced, how it's moving, and what it needs next. Build and work the opportunity list door by door.
Positioning: Sharpen what each brand stands for and who it's for -- Dee Thai and ICED are different brands with different buyers, and each deserves its own clear story. Keep that story consistent from package to shelf to post to budtender pitch.
Trend & culture: Keep both brands current. Track what's winning in cannabis, flavor, and street culture -- drops, collabs, formats, aesthetics -- and turn it into moves for these brands before the market does it first.
Placement & merchandising: Right doors, right shelf position, right displays. Proactively find merchandising opportunities -- custom displays, vinyl, signage -- and push them through to install. Hands-on: you update shelves and install materials yourself on store visits.
Marketing materials: Every piece supporting these brands -- shelf talkers, displays, sell sheets, training content, playbooks -- exists, is current, and is on point. Work with Brand & Design on creation; you own that it ships and lands in stores.
Promos & calendar: Dee Thai and ICED are planned into every major sale day and never have a dead month. Own their slots on the marketing calendar and the promo mechanics per account.
Budtender & field push: Feed the field team and budtender training with what makes these brands worth recommending. Ride along, train in person, and make sure the people selling know why these products are better.
Cannabis passion: Deep, genuine passion for cannabis -- the products, the plant, the culture. You follow the brands, know the shelf, and can hold your own in any dispensary conversation.
Experience: 3+ years in brand management, trade marketing, or brand-side field marketing -- and you've grown a brand before and can tell us exactly how you did it. Cannabis strongly preferred; culture-driven CPG (beverage, snacks, streetwear) also valued.
Positioning sense: You can articulate what a brand is, who it's for, and why it wins -- and translate that into shelf, materials, and talking points.
Trend radar: You know what's hot before it's everywhere -- and you have the taste to know what fits each brand and what doesn't.
Hands-on bias: Real time in stores, resetting shelves, installing vinyl and displays, talking to budtenders. You'd rather fix it now than file a ticket.
Drive: Takes initiative and pushes opportunities through without waiting to be asked. These brands grow because you don't let them sit.
Education: Bachelor's degree in Marketing or a relevant field -- or equivalent brand-building experience.
Tech: Comfortable living in Odoo and Monday.com (or similar) and logging work same-day without being chased. Enthusiastic about working with AI tools daily -- we'll train you on our stack, but you have to want it.
