Job summary

The Wonderful Company is seeking a Brand Manager for Wonderful Pistachios, based in California. You will lead development and execution of integrated marketing plans, collaborating with sales, finance, operations and our in-house agency teams.

This role requires driving campaigns, managing cross-functional initiatives, and translating insights into actionable strategies. Ideal candidates have extensive marketing experience in CPG, with international exposure and strong data/analytical skills.

Qualifications

  • 6+ years’ relevant marketing experience or MBA with 3+ years’ relevant marketing experience.
  • Consumer packaged goods (CPG) industry experience required.
  • Experience in international markets a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Drive strategy and execution of marketing campaigns to drive strategic objectives.
  • Manage day-to-day operations of several cross-functional initiatives/projects.
  • Translate insights into action using data sources.
  • Define creative, media, and PR strategies with in-house agency teams for product launches.
  • Develop integrated, multi-media marketing briefs and manage campaigns.
  • Oversee annual campaign media plans (TV, digital, social) for cost-effective delivery.
  • Collaborate with international teams to extend US campaigns to other markets.
  • Present marketing recommendations to senior management and cross-functional teams.
  • Onboard and develop team members for growth.
  • Continuously optimize the SKU portfolio based on trends and objectives.
  • Build retailer-specific programs to extend national campaigns and support sales.

TheBrand Managerleads the development and implementation of marketing plans that drive corporate volume and profitability objectives. They report to the Director, Marketing and and work with senior management to drive strategic initiatives and execute marketing plans that support the fast growth of our diverse businesses. They are the link between our sales, finance, operations, and our in-house agency teams (Creative, Insights, Media, and Public Relations).

We work a hybrid schedule with an in-office requirement Monday-Wednesday and the option to work remotely on Thursday and Friday. Our office is located in Los Angeles, CA 90064.

  • Drive strategy and execution of marketing campaigns to drive strategic objectives.
  • Manage day-to-day operations of several ongoing cross-functional initiatives/projects.
  • Use advanced understanding of data sources to translate insights into action.
  • Work with Wonderful's in-house creative agency to define creative, media, and PR strategies, providing direction for our marketing/creative campaigns related to new product launches.
  • Develop integrated, multi-media marketing creative briefs and manage integrated campaigns.
  • Responsible for annual campaign media plans (TV, digital, social, etc.) ensuring timely delivery and cost-effective execution.
  • Work with international teams on the extension of TV campaigns and innovation items from the US to international markets.
  • Provide thought leadership in developing practical solutions to complex quantitative and qualitative problems.
  • Present marketing recommendations and plans to senior management and cross-functional teams.
  • Assist in the onboarding, training and development of team members.
  • Continuously manage and optimize a SKU portfolio. Recommend additions and discontinuations based on business objectives and consumer trends.
  • Develop consumer and retailer-specific marketing programs to extend national campaigns, or seasonal opportunities.
  • Build strong relationships withinthe sales organization to maximize impact of SKU level programs and sales support initiatives; assesses and build business solutions from a marketing perspective.
  • Drive international category planning, including product launches, and market growth activities.
  • 6+ years’ relevant marketing experience or MBA with3+ years’ relevant marketing experience.
  • Consumer packaged goods (CPG) industryexperience required.
  • Experience in international markets a plus.
  • Understanding of the following areas: eCommerce, packaging, advertising, promotions, merchandising, media, social media, point-of-sale marketing.
  • Experience working with syndicated data, preferably IRI or ACNielsen.
  • Expert in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook.
  • Cross-functional collaboration and relationship building skills.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to persuade others.
  • Displays strategic thought leadership and intellectual curiosity.
  • Strong analytical, strategic, and creative problem-solving abilities with theability to translate insights to action, spot trends, and read-out recommendations to senior management.
  • Strong verbal, presentation, and written skills, including creative briefs and the ability to articulate an informed perspective.
  • Strong project management skills and executional excellence that showcases attention to detail and adherence to deadlines.
  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing or related field.

Pay Range: $140,000 - $150,000 and may include a discretionary bonus. Final compensation will be dependent upon skills & experience.
