Job Description

Position: Brand Guidelines Writer

Duration: 1 year

Pay Rate: $68/hr (w2)

Location: Remote mostly, must be local to Los Angeles / Southern California

Role Summary: The Brand Guidelines Writer will craft and maintain Production Design Guidelines to support content creation across various products and audiences. They will support the Production Design team by creating internal and external design resources, including documentation, instructional videos, and scripts. The role involves writing across multiple services, adapting brand voice and messaging for varied audiences while maintaining consistent tone. The ideal candidate is a flexible writer with experience in brand/style guides and a portfolio demonstrating how they’ve shaped voice across audiences and platforms.

Key Qualifications:

  • Exceptional writing and verbal communication skills
  • Skilled in copywriting and scriptwriting; able to distill complex ideas clearly
  • Deep attention to linguistic nuance
  • Experience in developing and evolving brand voice
  • Understanding of design principles; experience with style guides or design guidance
  • Adept at storytelling and instructional writing
  • Comfortable writing for varied skill levels (novices to professionals)
