Job summary

URBN Urban Outfitters, Inc. in Austin, TX is seeking an Assistant Department Manager to support service, selling, and store operations and to foster an engaging environment aligned with the SPARKED program.

You will lead by example on customer service, participate in recruiting and onboarding, and help drive brand events to connect with the local community while maintaining store standards and payroll efficiency.

Qualifications

• 1+ years of retail leadership experience.
• Anthro brand fan.
• Experience being a team player.
• Ability to work flexible hours including nights, weekends and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Acts as a brand representative to promote a positive and inclusive environment in the store, in line with the SPARKED program.
• Leads by example in upholding a service culture that demonstrates extraordinary service to cultivate an environment where all customers feel welcome, heard and valued.
• Supports the store leadership team and stylists to promote unique customer events that drive brand engagement.
• Actively participates in leading the salesfloor and driving engagement in each zone, guiding the team to prioritize the customer experience and store objectives.
• Participates in recruiting, hiring, and onboarding to retain a diverse and engaged team.
• Uses brand resources to champion employee development and recognition and team-building activities.
• Supports daily operating processes such as opening/closing procedures, maintaining store standards, restocking, and IT/ facilities issues.
• Collaborates with partners to execute shipment and omni-fulfillment processes; supports visual standards, stock levels, and markdowns.
• Provides feedback on training needs to support scheduling and payroll allocation to drive sales and brand initiatives.
• Contributes to an inclusive work environment by listening to others and seeking diverse perspectives.
• Checks in with leadership to maintain communication and teamwork on store objectives.
