Job summary

Worcester State University seeks a Staff Assistant, Design Artist to lead graphic design for the Publications and Printing Department. You will create print and digital materials, including brochures, posters, maps and signage, ensuring brand consistency and collaboration with internal teams and external printers.

The role reports to the Director of Publications and Printing Services and supports the Communications and Marketing team in delivering the university story.

Qualifications

• Minimum 4 years' experience as a designer/typographer in a professional setting.
• Mastery of Adobe Creative Suite and related tools for print and digital media.
• Ability to translate concepts into print and digital design materials.

Responsibilities

• Lead design projects from concept through prepress for print and digital materials.
• Create brochures, flyers, posters, maps and campus graphics.
• Ensure brand consistency in all university materials.
• Coordinate with internal teams and outside vendors on production.
• Maintain design project files and logs, and manage timelines.
