Job summary

Mercor is seeking an Agency Brand Design Expert for a remote contract role. You will design criteria for brand deliverables, score AI-generated and human samples, and provide detailed justifications to keep results reproducible and defensible.

You will work independently to meet deadlines and help improve AI model performance through structured feedback. The ideal candidate has 5+ years in brand/graphic design, experience at top agencies, and strong typography, layout, color, and brand identity

Qualifications

• 5+ years of professional experience in brand, visual, or graphic design.
• Experience at world-class independent brand and design agencies.
• Experience in core brand disciplines: Creative Director, Brand Designer, Web Designer, or Graphic Designer.
• Deep fluency in typography, layout, color, composition, and brand identity systems.
• Exceptionally strong written communication skills.
• Detail-oriented and comfortable with peer-reviewed judgment.

Responsibilities

• Design precise, task-specific grading criteria for real-world brand design deliverables such as brand identity systems, logos, and marketing visuals.
• Score AI-generated and human work samples against criteria with detailed written justifications for each score.
• Apply consistent, evidence-based judgment to ensure scores are reproducible and defensible.
• Incorporate structured feedback from senior reviewers and iterate quickly on your work.
• Work independently and asynchronously to meet deadlines while improving AI model performance.
