Job summary

Nen Creative is seeking a Design Director to lead our brand and design practice from a senior, hands-on position. You will oversee quality across brand, web, and launch work, while partnering with our Brand Project Manager to keep projects moving and serve as the senior creative on client conversations.

The role includes shaping new business, elevating work, and growing the team as Nen expands its brand offering in the United States.

Qualifications

• 5–8 years of experience in brand, design, or creative roles.
• Exceptional design judgment and craft.
• Extremely strong with clients; ability to present to founders and senior stakeholders.
• High ownership and reliability; able to push work to completion.
• Able to move between direction and execution; contribute at both levels.
• Driven to raise the bar and improve processes and team.

Responsibilities

• Creative Leadership: Own the creative quality of our brand and design work across identity, web, and launch projects.
• Team Leadership: Lead and mentor a multidisciplinary design team, developing craft and presentation skills.
• Client Leadership: Serve as the senior creative partner on key engagements and client conversations.
• New Business: Shape creative approaches and lead pitches to win desired projects.
• Process & Practice Building: Improve critiques, QA, workflows, and brand practice operations as we grow.
