Job summary

SmartStop Self Storage is seeking a Marketing Communications Specialist to support and elevate the company’s brand through strong brand stewardship, content development, and effective management of marketing systems and tools.

Reporting to the VP of Marketing, this role ensures SmartStop presents a consistent, polished brand across customer and employee touchpoints while serving as the internal owner of key communications platforms.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, or related field is required.
• 2-5 years of marketing experience including content development, brand management and marketing systems.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills with experience drafting press releases.

Responsibilities

• Uphold SmartStop's brand identity across marketing channels.
• Create content for website, email campaigns, internal comms, collateral, and press releases.
• Draft and distribute press releases aligned with brand messaging and AP style.
• Ensure content adheres to AP style and consistent tone, voice and quality.
• Manage digital asset management system and intranet content.
