Job summary

The Charlottesville Regional Chamber of Commerce is seeking an experienced Marketing & Communications Specialist to strengthen visibility, elevate the chamber’s brand, and enhance member experience through strategic communications.

Working with the President & CEO, you will develop and execute initiatives that amplify the chamber’s voice and connect with members, business leaders, and the broader community.

Qualifications

• Exceptional writing, editing, proofreading, and verbal communication skills.
• Strong knowledge of marketing, branding, social media, and digital content best practices.
• Ability to create polished marketing materials, graphics, presentations, and digital content.
• Experience managing website content and using digital engagement metrics to evaluate performance.
• Strong organizational and project management skills to handle multiple priorities.

Responsibilities

• Develop engaging content for newsletters, social media, the Chamber website, press releases, campaigns, programs, events, and other communications.
• Design marketing and promotional materials including brochures, event collateral and digital graphics.
• Manage communications calendar and email campaigns for coordinated promotion.
• Maintain website content and consistent branding across materials.
• Support member recruitment, engagement, and retention through targeted marketing and communications.
• Assist media relations, including drafting and distributing press releases.
• Monitor engagement metrics and recommend opportunities to strengthen visibility.
