Job summary

Northaugustachamber seeks a Communications & Public Relations Specialist to support messaging, branding, and ambassador programs. You will work with Marketing to ensure cohesive storytelling, external communications, and community engagement across channels.

The role emphasizes strong writing, project management, and collaboration, with a focus on member experience and timely, accurate communications in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in communications, PR, marketing, journalism, or related field.
• 3–5 years in communications, marketing, public relations, or media relations.
• Experience across multi-channel campaigns; financial services/nonprofit preferred.

Responsibilities

• Develop communications plans and content; strengthen brand awareness.
• Draft external communications and manage media inquiries.
• Create internal newsletters and coordinate calendars.
• Support community outreach and member-focused communications.
• Coordinate projects, timelines, vendors, and assets.
• Ensure regulatory compliance and accurate brand messaging.
• Promote credit union products through member-focused messaging.
• Adhere to all credit union policies including BSA and USA PATRIOT Act.
