Description

Black Button Distilling is seeking individuals who are interested in educating consumers on local craft spirits at events at various locations and events in the Long Island area. Those who see the whiskey glass as half full and have passion for responsibly celebrating with high quality spirits should apply.

As a Brand Ambassador with Black Button Distilling (BBD), you will be the face of our products, hosting a wide array of events and product tastings while sharing the company’s history and quality products with community members. We are looking for a part time Brand Ambassadors who will be assigned to liquor store tastings, industry events and outside market/festival events.Shifts will be scheduled Fridays after 3pm, Saturdays/Sundays after 10am and occasionally on Thursdays after 3pm. Schedules and hoursvary.

Over 90% of ingredients in Black Button Distilling spirits are grown or produced in New York State. We offer craft bourbon, whiskey, gin, vodka and a whole lot more. Inside Scoop to Land the Job aka requirements needed:

• Passion for distilled and craft spirits, knowledge of spirits considered a plus
• Prior experience with group interactions, presenting and/or working events
• Sales experience a plus
• Availability and willingness to travel locally
• Positive and friendly demeaner, demonstrates top notch customer service
• Ability to communicate clearly and effectively at all times, through written and verbal forms
• Problem solving skills
• Valid driver’s license is Required
• Comfort with ambiguity and change, demonstrating a calm demeaner in challenging situations
• Must be able to sample the product and to effectively communicate product benefits

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to frequently lift at least 30 lbs, at times 50lbs
• Constant standing up to 12 hours per day on occasion
• Able to occasionally work outside in all weather conditions

Responsibilities:

Being a Brand Ambassador at Black Button Events is a hospitality and sales position. The Brand Ambassador is responsible for:

• Arriving on-time
• Transport, Set-up and take-down of any equipment, product, and marketing materials (offsite)
• Understanding and educating customers on the products and history of Black Button Distilling
• Selling bottles in the tasting room, markets and festivals
• Providing genuine, friendly, courteous, professional service to all team members, distributors and customers
• Utilization of problem-solving skills when situations do not go as planned
• Constant communication with team members and the Director of Consumer Engagement
• Proper mixology and obtaining product knowledge
• Other duties as assigned in support of the business operations such as inventory of supplies, transfer of supplies, etc.
• Available to work 1-2 shifts each weekend. Additional hours may be, but flexibility is a must.
