Job summary

Sigma Foods is seeking a Deli Sales Associate to increase sales of meat and cheeses at the deli counter through customer engagement and responsive service. You will demonstrate products, prepare samples, and guide customers using product knowledge.

The role requires standing 6-8 hours, ability to work weekends and evenings, and lifting up to 30 pounds; travel expectations up to long hours may apply as needed. Training and advancement opportunities available.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 1 year of retail or face-to-face sales experience.
• Personal vehicle which meets company standards for licensing and insurance.
• MVR which meets Bar-S driving standards with review by Bar-S Human Capital.

Responsibilities

• Interact with customers and management in a friendly, enthusiastic, and outgoing manner to generate brand awareness and increase sales.
• Prepare and demonstrate new and promoted products through samples and by recipe demonstrations using company products.
• Provide excellent customer service; assess customer needs, recommend products, fill orders with a slicer, and process purchases.
• Clean area and equipment as required by store policy and health codes.
• Maintain shelf standards and inventory; ensure pricing aligns with promotions and materials.
• Notify management of extraordinary issues including quality concerns and overstock.
• Maintain good relationships with supermarket personnel and management.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
